Megan Martin, BA CT

I am currently pursuing a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Xavier University, with an expected graduation date of August 2024.  I have a bachelor’s degree in English, with an emphasis in creative writing, and I have had the privilege of working in libraries for over a decade.

We each have a story, and it can be helpful to have a trusted witness to that story. I believe the counseling relationship provides that space to navigate the painful or difficult parts of your life journey, and to equip you to face whatever the future may bring. Through providing a curious and encouraging presence, I hope to walk with you as you experience healing and transformation in those harder realities of life. I believe counseling is a collaborative effort, and I lean toward a person-centered approach, combined with cognitive behavioral therapy. I am in training to provide EMDR therapy as well, which can be helpful for healing from trauma or other distressing life experiences. I invite incorporating faith into counseling, should that be something you would welcome.

I have a full life in Cincinnati working and going to graduate school, and I enjoy both immensely. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, reading, working out, time with family, and coffee chats with friends.
